How to Make Time Work for You

Do you have a problem dealing with the concept of time? Does waiting for things make you cringe? If so, you can start changing the way you think about time by allowing it to work for you. Lately I've been saying to myself that time is my best friend, especially when dealing with others because time will tell how people really are and their true motives. Time heals, it brings experience and wisdom (if you let it), it teaches you patience, and it can bring discipline in your life (meeting deadlines, time management etc..). Lots of people view time in a negative light, but I'm learning how to use it for my advantage. Don't let time work you, let it work for you. God bless!!

Greater is Coming, but Be Patient my Friend

A couple of days ago at work I left my bank card at home by accident and realized I couldn't get lunch. I'm not going to lie, I slightly panicked. I started searching in my purse for change and dollars until I finally found two dollars in my wallet. I was happy, although plenty of times when I didn't have lunch money I prayed for a miracle and always got food. But this time I didn't pray for a miracle, and went downstairs and got the cheapest thing I could find, a cup of beef chili. It was more delicious than usual for some strange reason. When I went to my normal 12:30pm meeting I kind of regretted buying that cup of chili. Why? Because the important people (CEOs and CFOs) were at the meeting and they brought about 50 Panera Bread sandwiches, dozens of chips, cookies, waters, soda, salad, and fresh bread. I was shocked and mad at the same time. If only I had waited about 30 minutes later. Now I was kind of full from the chili and couldn't enjoy all this food as much as I wanted to. I said all that to say this: Be patient and hold off on the cheap cup of chili, if you want greater later. " ....Wait, I say on the Lord" Psalm 27:14.

How to deal with Dramatic Father/Mother of your Children if not Together

Hello everyone, today I want to give a couple of tips on dealing with a dramatic ex who you have to continue to communicate with because of things you share (children/property). The first thing is to know for yourself how you feel about this person. Do you have second thoughts about why you left? Do you still have feelings in your heart for this person? If the answer is no then run for your life, just kidding. But you should make it clear that your feelings are gone and don't play with that person's emotions especially if they are right on the edge of insanity, that's how you end up dead (just kidding once again, although it is a possibility). The second thing is to keep your distance. Don't accept an invite from your ex to their mother's house for Thanksgiving dinner. You don't want to still feel like you are "part of the family." Only keep good communication for the sake of the children. Third, do everything on your part to keep the peace. Speak kind words only and don't allow them to get under your skin. My last and final tip is to pray for guidance to Christ if you don't know how to deal with a person, He is always willing to help. Keep your head up and stay blessed!!!!!

Make Your Nail Polish Pop This Spring and Summer

Have you ever purchased a nail polish and the color is actually more dull on your nails that in the bottle? Well you can fix that with one simple trick that I will be doing this season with my color polishes. What you can do to make your colors pop more is add a white base coat first and then polish your nails with the color of your choice. What I did here is used a thin coat of white and two thin coats of the color just so the white won't show. I used Maybelline New York Color Show in Limited Addition Lustrous Lime 925. The top pic is without the white coat and the bottom is with. See the difference?

Chicago's Youth: Music and Murder

I usually take the train to work and when I do, there is never hardly a moment that I dont see a young person playing rap music with disturbing lyrics loudly. When I hear some of the lyrics I started to put 2 and 2 together and noticed that a lot of young people in Chicago are hooked on explicit rap music and are actually acting out what they hear. Don't get me wrong I use to love it too. But now that my eyes are opened spiritually I can see that the music has these kids minds and spirits BOUND! Satan comes to kill steal and destroy and one of his tools is music. So if you feel like you're being attacked all the time, depressed, angry etc, watch what you listen to!! The murder rate is skyrocketing in Chicago and young people are getting signed to major music labels, (Chief Keef), a coincidence? I think not!!! Satan knows what he is doing and music is a clever tool to use to lead millions to HELL!! YES I SAID HELL! PLS DONT FALL FOR IT!!!! CHOOSE CHRIST!!!!  HE IS THE GOOD NEWS!!!

Twist Outs and Braid Outs

My favorite hairstyles so far since becoming natural have been twist outs and braid outs. A twist out or braid out is simply twisting your hair up in two strand twist (remember the ones we wore as kids), or braids, letting it set and then taking the twists or braids down for a crinkly or curly look. Here are some pics of my finished look:

Distractions

Usually when a person has made up his/her mind to do something one thing is for certain, their will always be distractions. I've noticed that in my life whenever I say "God I wanna be closer to you" there's always a distraction lurking, waiting to try and throw me off course. But I have power over distractions. I have the power to choose what I let distract me. I can be a victim of letting distractions stop my goals or I can say things like "No, I cant hang out with this person or this crowd because they will bring distractions",  "No I cant do this or do that because this has the potential to throw me off". So I encourage you to choose what you do and who you hang with wisely because everyone that crosses your path is not there to help you, but often to test you.- God Bless
